I am a little confused and I hope this doesn't upset you but i'm just wondering that if you're against abortion why do you think it's the best option for you? I know bullying can be a dreadful thing but if this is the only reason for your change of heart then it's probably not for the best.

I am pro-choice but you need to be totally sure that abortion is what you want before you take that option.


It entirely depends on where you are whether you're too far along for a termination. I'm in the uk and they're allowed up to (and including) 24th week (or anytime for danger to the life of the woman/severe fetal abnormalties). At 15 weeks the procedure is likely to be a d&e (dialation and evacuation) which takes place over 2-3 days
i've explained it in the most simplistic form - in all honesty i'm sure there will be some graphic resonses from some pro-lifers but these are just the facts of the procedure without any emotional manipulation.

(the cervix is numbed and dialators are inserted, these expand overnight, then the uterus is cleared and finally suctional aspiration)

in all honesty it sounds as though you're against the idea of having an abortion. You need to do what is right for you and terminating a pregnancy because of bullies doesn't seem to be a good decision imo

nb d&e not to be confused with d&x (referred to as partial birth abortion) which is not used until later in the pregnancy and, whilst it sounds horrific, it's usually done in this way to for maternal reasons.

As with moo, i'm sort of getting the feeling that an abortion wouldn't be the best thing for you; however the fact that bullying is making you consider going against your very ethics has me worried that you're still a little too young to be a mom.

Well, having 'been there', I assure you that women who abort are not cowards.

However, the issue seems to be that you are against terminating your pregnancy but seem to have been bullied into the idea. I can assure you that these people are not true friends if they don't support you - it's possible for friends to disagree but at the same time they should still respect what you're doing.
Have you any support? If the father is a d*** then he'd better grow up (either way you'll need his support)

Hey a baby is for life

kids can be silly when they dont understand you need to understand the implications that a baby will have on ur life. But u also need to think about whether ur going to regret this for the rest of ur life

my best friend also 16 had an abortion because the father wasnt being helpful about it she gets v depressed about it sometimes it is going to be hard either way
