Okay so yesterday, I started birth control under the examination of my doctor. Because I had started my period a few days prior to the visit with my doctor he reccommened I take sundays pill at dinner, and then mondays pill before I go to bed. And then continue on regularly. Lastnight I got really sick. I had all the flu symptoms and was vomiting quite a bit. Has anyone ever experienced this when they first started the pill? My mom thinks it might be because it was such a drastic change for my body taking 2 pills to begin with. Is it the pill? Or do I just have the flu?

Ugh..
I did that *every* time I took the pill (which was on and off for 5 years). It may stop when your body adjusts to the hormone fluctuation, but as soon as you go off the pill.. If you go back on it the possibility of all the side effects may return. I'm now on the birth control patch and I feel fine from it. Possibly see about going back to the doctor and getting another form of birth control. Ortho-evra, the patches I use, work for a week.. For me that's a looot better than remembering (or in my case forgetting) the pill everyday. I just change it once a week, and it stays on throughout the entire week as well. I'd suggest calling your doctor if it continues, because if I had done the same thing I would've felt much healthier long ago.

The first time I took the pill it made me really sick. I took one at 3 in the afternoon on an empty stomach (not knowing any better!!!!) and then I took my 2nd one around 9 at night. I took two because I started them on a monday so since I was going by sunday start, she just had me double up my first time. By midnight, I was sitting in the bathroom crying because I felt so horrible. It was ortho tricyclen lo and I was told I would have no nausea at all so it really took me by suprise. I found, though, that throughout the entire year that I took it, it always made me nauseous...Now i'm on ortho tricyclen and i'm just dandy.
