Q: Is Brown Discharge OK During Week 12 of Pregnancy?

i am going to 12 week pregnant since the past 2 weeks i have been seeing brownish discharge as i clean myself or on my nickers is everything ok pliz help im also getting a funny side pain on my right side every now and again

No, bleeding during the first trimester of pregnancy is not OK.... but it doesn’t mean that the condition is serious, either. First, you can visit your gynecologist to distinguish the nature of the discharge (is it blood or not) and identify the origin. If the blood originates from the uterus, it has to be taken very seriously as a sign of possible miscarriage. If the discharge is not blood, it is a probable sign of a vaginal infection that has to be treated to prevent further complications.
