I had a hysterectomy exactly a year ago at
the age of 50. I have never felt as bad
in my life since, I feel as though I have
been totally traumatised by the whole
experience and cannot move on with my
life.
Fortunately I do not have any gynacology
problems any more (i also had 1 ovary
removed) but I just feel a complete wreck,
tired etc.
Until last december I hardly had a days
illness other than the usual colds etc.
Does anyone else feel the same?

Hi There. Posted: 02-05-04 08:24am
I am 41 and my name is kay, I had the
hysterectomy in oct 2003, I feel the same
way you do, they have me on estrogen, and
other meds, I feel awful, when I ask my
family dr whats wrong, she looks at me and
says it takes time to heal plus get into
the comfort zone. I lie in bed, take
walks in the afternoon with the kids and
that almost kills me.. I have no energy,
just like you, you are not alone.. I have
posted several forums here on this sight,
my user name is kayfla, please look at my
forums and see what I have been through, I
wanna see if anyone feels like me, I have
found that ,, this place is the only place
to vent problems, I love it here,, I dont
have to tourture others hearing my story
over and over.. Anyways good luck, god
bless.. Take care..

Thanks for your reply kay. I thought
there was only me in the world wondering
what I had done by having the operation.
