Q: So Confused!!!

Hi my name is megan. :) my husband and I were on birth control for over a year and we decided for religious purposes to stop it and try natural family planning. I discontinued my birth control feb 1st, had a period feb 3-7 and i'm expecting my next period march 3. Today is feb 27th and I am experiencing some tingling and sharp twinges in my vaginal canal, some mild cramping (so mild it almost feels like gas!) and some very light spotting (pink, and only noticed when I wipe) I usually have very heavy periods with severe cramps so i'm confused as to what this could be. Any advice? :?:

You could possible be having implantation bleeding or it could just be your body adjusting to being off of birth control. Sometimes it takes a while for your system to get back to normal after using hormonal birth contro. I would wait a few more days or a week and if you don't have your normal af, I would take a pregnancy test. Are you opposed to having a baby now?

Thank you for the reply. No i'm not opposed to having a baby right now, it is just not being planned for... We aren't "trying" right now. Update: I am now having a brownish pink discharge that is kinda slimy, but again, only seen when I wipe.... You think i'm probably just adjusting to the birth control?

My guess would be that you are just adjusting to being off of birth control. I'm not an expert though. I just know, your system can get totally out of whack when you come off of hormonal birth control. Sometimes it is hard to tell since early pregnancy symptoms can be similar to pms. I would wait another week and if you don't get af, I would try a pregnancy test just to make sure.

We've been ttc for 1.5 yrs. I've had that light pink spotting (when I wipe) quite a bit too...Including right now. I'm not sure why that is.
