Puzzler!: V.heavy Stomach After Drink/food: Linked2hemroids?

Hi all - I hope 1 or 2 of you can help, please. For a year or two now, I have had air escaping via burbs whenever I swallow any liquid and a very heavy feeling in my stomach almost immediately after swallowing food, and particularly gassy drinks. I know alcohol/lemonade etc. Contains lots of air, but this is a very noticeable change. I've never been a big drinker, but could drink 4 or 5 pints ok a few years ago - now I can't finish 1 or 2 without being sick.

My appetite hasn't changed - I still put the same amount of food on my plate etc, but then struggle to finish it all because of the dull, heavy, full ache in my belly.

Around the same time, I started noticing some bright red blood on the tissue when I wiped after using the toilet. This continues on and off and altho hasn't happened for a month or two, I finally visited my doctor who inspected me and diagnosed hemroids. I have some anti-inflammatory supersitories for this + an appointment to see if I need them surgically banded.

But my puzzlement and question here is - are the hemroids the cause of the stomach problem too? The stomach is a daily thing whereas the infrequent bleeding almost seemed a side-issue, but that is what I am being solitarily treated for. I have only noticed a little constipation and suffered almost no pain passing excrement. My main concern, discomfort-wise anyway, is my tummy! I've also noticed an increase in passing the wind through my bottom too, recently. This, and burping (voluntary and involuntary) does ease the immediate pressure in my stomach but by no means removes it as the fullness feeling remains for a while.

If anyone has even some suggestions, or if even parts of that sound familiar to anyone, I would be very grateful to hear your thoughts, please.
I'm a 26-year old male, by the way.

Many thanks indeed.

Believe or not, my family has a history of hemroids and my mother had surgery and they came back! So it has a huge amount to do with diet, and genetic history. How ever my husband lived in mexico for abit and he would eat jalpenoe peppers (sorry about the spelling) everyday. He had a bleeding ulcer that the doctors said needed surgery, however when he returned from mexico 1 month later the ulcer was gone! Yep he ate tacos burritoes and peppers. So we had a very close friend who was sheduled to have surgery on his hemroids, and we told him about it. You don't have to eat alot, just 1 bite a day of a jalapeno or other warm to hot peppers. So (i thought it was bs) he did that and ate to a max of 1 pepper every day and 1 month later when he went into the doctors for surgery, they were gone! The doctor was amazed. I too have had anul fissures which are nasty and bleed alot and burn and hemroids. Finally last month I tried eating just a little bit of red pepper in my diet and the next day it burned and I ate alittle more and the hemroid was gone. I was shocked and hated to admit my husband was right! So it may be worth, I have a bad gut , so if you eat hot food already, eat a little hotter and see.
As for the gas, you should talk to your gi, it sounds a little like gerd and ibs. I have both. I stopped drinking soda and booze and it really helped.
Good luck !
