My girlfriend and I had protected sex about a week ago. She only let me keep it in for about 5 seconds. In which I did not ejaculate. She said that he period was supposed to be there the next day or so and it hasn't come yet. She is worried sick and so am i. Could her being worried delay her period any, and what are the chances that she could be pregnant?

The facts that you were protected, you did not ejaculate and her period was due very soon after (best time for conception is around the halfway mark of the menstrual cycle - ovulation time) all suggest that it is highly unlikely she is pregnant.

Yes, stress can cause her to miss her period, why dont you get a test then she will have the answer in front of her.

How Long?
At the most how long could her being stressed delay her period? A week maybe two? Thanks.

She told me today that she is about a week late, she is worried sick and so am i, I tried to tell her it was because she was stressed about it, she doesn't want to take a pregnancy test. Is it possible that she will just miss it completely? If so will it just come next month like nothing ever happened?

Yeah macysmama - your damn right, periods are a normal thing to go by with pregnancy (the whole missed periods thing) but to tell you truth they are very unreliable - my son dylan is now 5 days old and was born at 28 weeks - I had periods all the way through... Not very reliable I dont think.

If she wants to know for sure and stop stressing out tell her to get a test. She's probably scared about buying it and doing it (i was) but if you get it for her then maybe it'll help her.

The outcome isn't gonna change if she doesn't do the test, whatever's happened already has and she needs to know to stop worrying.
