Q: I'm Officially Pregnant!!!

Hi everyone!

I am so excited. I will be 5 weeks tomorrow (i'm due on halloween)! Along with being excited I am also terrified. My only other pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 13 weeks so I am so scared now. I want to enjoy this but it's hard not to dwell on the bad things that can happen. My doctor doesn't see people until they're 8-10 weeks so my 1st appointment isn't until march 29th and I think i'll be nervous until then. I'm sure once I hear the heartbeat i'll be fine but until then i'm going to be a wreck. Despite being really scared I am so happy. So if you're religious i'm asking that you please pray for me. And if not then just think happy thoughts for me!

It's hard not to worry when you have had a miscarriage prior to this one. I'm sure everything will be just fine :)

Thanks everyone! I don't think i'll go so far as to rent a doppler. I didn't even know that was an option! A woman from my doctor's office called me today and eased my mind a bit, she told me that given the type of miscarriage I had the chances of having another are extremely slim. So now i'm thinking happy positive thoughts and I can't wait to be a mom!

I dont know if anyone told you but once u hear the babys heartbeat the chance of miscarriage dropes by 40% as well usually second pregnancy hold a better chance and that also drops the rate of misccarige I believe 5-15% dont fret unless u there are medical issues prohibiting the pregnancy like rh factor etc!!

Good luck and congratz!!!
Jess
