#1 you can help yourself by knocking off the weed. It will only make it worse.

#2 there are so many symptoms of anxiety, but I can give you the ones i've experienced myself:

- trouble sleeping (usually jerk myself awake right before falling asleep)
- what seems like trouble breathing (like you really have to think about it to make yourself breathe)
- hypochondria
- headaches of a couple varieties (for me, usually tension, like you're wearing a really tight cap, or ear muffs)
- avoidant behavior (when you make up excuses not to do something or go somewhere out of fear)
- social phobias

there are lots more that other people might experience that I haven't, and vice versa. It's all a matter of how your body and mind deal with the excess stress. (smoking weed may sound relaxing, but...It's often not!)

ha ha---then quit smoking weed. .Lol

no, really that is what happened to me and my son. I got to the point I had an extreme panic attack--thought I was dying---i asked .God and he helped me overcome weed, I was delivered immediately.

My son ended in the hospital 3 times with heart palpitaions. So... He quit too. Really extremely good pot. 3 hits baked.

Good luck on that--i know how much I loved my pot. 11 years-- all day long every day.

A hypochondriac is someone who imagines they are sick often, or is overly concerned with their physical health. It's usually based on "real" symptoms (mostly those that are caused by anxiety anyway).

Hypochondriacs are hyper-sensitive to minor changes in their bodies, and those symptoms of anxiety can get interpreted as major physical illness by someone like this. Obviously, this just makes the anxious person even more anxious! Kind of a catch-22.

Hehe, np

feel lucky. Hypochondria sucks...It's really frustrating because when you're really bad, you feel upset that no one will take you seriously. Then, when it's passed, you feel goofy for thinking something was really wrong. That's if you're one of the luckier ones who just "has their moments" like me. :p it's bad with me in times of high stress.

On the other hand, I never get true panic attacks, so you win some and you lose some :)

I too get extreme anxiety by that I mean my heart goes fast, and I feel a little paranoid) when I smoke weed as well. I used to be fine when I was a kid, however, lately, my heart has started punding really hard after smoking; my doctor told me that sometimes pot will have that effect, in fact, the first 20 minutes after you smoke is the most dangerous as your heart beat races.

I have had pretty good success sipping a strong drink (mine is scotch) after I get through smoking. I only smoke pot at night to help me to go to sleep, otherwise im up all night. My doctors said it's the safest thing for me, better than sleeping pills, etc.

Also, I noticed that when im in bed, it gets worse than if I am up. Hope this helps.
