Hi
i am going away for a weekend with my
husband (the first in about 7 years) and
was due to menstruate about a week ago. I
really don't want to have a period over
the time away (we are going in 5 days) -
what is a safe and effective way to stop
menstruation?

Well... there's no way to prevent bleeding
this close to the vacation.
If you were on birth control, and planned
ahead by a few months, you could skip your
placebo week to skip your period. But it
really takes planning ahead. I don't think
there's a way to do it on such short
notice.
