I am also considering laser eye surgery and have looked at the new procedure that allows you to avoid having a corneal flap cut. The procedure involves the "moving" of the epithelial layer of the cornea, then the laser modification to the cornea, then moving the layer back. I'm impressed by what i've read and seen.
I have a question, also. I've been a contact lense wearer for 20 years. As a result; my cornea is symptomatic of keratoconus - a deterioration of the cornea. My doctor believes that the symptoms are a result of prolonged contact lense wear and I am therefore wearing my glasses for a month to see if the cornea "flattens" back to normal. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks.
