Q: Pregnancy Test Accuracy - Only 3 Weeks After "intercour

Hello... I would just like to ask, I had a urine pregnancy test done in a laboratory-it came out negative. However I had a few questions..How accurate is it if I had it only 3 weeks after the "intercourse"? Is it possible that I get a different result 2-3 weeks from now? Because some are saying that it could still change if I miss a period 2-3 weeks from now...

Note: I put "intercourse" in double quotes because we really didn't have sex, what happened was that I may have pre cum on my hand and he touched my hand with his hand and he touched me just a little outside of the vagina (i still had menstruation during this occurence, on my 4th day I think) - but I was reading all these forums here and they say that in this scenario it is possible that I get pregnant. This is why I took a test only 3 weeks from this occurence (i nver had any sexual interaction of any kind after that...)

i really really need help! I am not ready yet for a baby and I want to have one when I am very very stable. Please, any reply confirming anything would really help. Thanks!

Wait until you have a missed period and then take a test.

Thank You! Just a Follow Up Though...
Thanks! But does this mean that what I took wasn't accurate and doesn't count as a conclusion? What symptoms should I be feeling now this early on? Can you tell me something about the way I think the sperm entered me? Is it ossible I could have a baby through that process? Thank you thank you...

It's really just because i'm very paranoid about this stuff. I realy don't want to have a baby until i'm sure I can give him/her everything he/she needs - which I guess would be 3-5 years from now... This "possibility" has given me so much scare, I swear i'll never do anything near that again...I already talked to my boyfriend and he was so sweet bout it and he agreed that we never engage in anything that will make me this nervous again... I guess, he also told me he believes in responsible parenting and right now, since we both just graduated college, we can't afford that yet....

Thanks!!!

It wouldn't be very accurate if you took it 3 weeks after you had...."intercourse"

if you were pregnant I suppose tender boobies would be happening, along with morning sickness. Although I didnt get morning sickness until I was around 9-10 weeks!

By what you told me I don't think you're pregnant. Getting pregnant from that is highly unlikely but it does happen.

I dont think you have anything to worry about, just be careful next time!
