Q: Preventing Recidivty after Hernia Repair Surgery
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 25th, 2006
I had mesh hernia repair surgery in Nov 05 and its Feb 06 now. I have pain where the hernia was and also on the opposite side. It seems when i train, sprints or lifting, my pain is relieved. Should i continue to train, or should i give it time to heal.
Unlike the pain when i had the hernia, the pain comes mostly when im just sitting around doin nothing.

You can be more careful with hard/strenuous exercises after surgery to prevent recidivity. You can consult your surgeon for the pains you feel.
