My brothers ex girl friend is pregnant it
could either be his or her current boy
friends. Her boyfriend's blood type is
ab and my brother's blood type is o+.
When the baby is born they are going to
use the baby's cord to check the blood
type. My question is...
If the baby is o+ does that mean the baby
is tryely my brothers or can an ab person
have an o+ baby?
'm sorry I forgot to say that the mother
of the baby is o+
but her lpn told her that the baby always
takes after the fathers blood type.

if the baby is o+ the mother is either o+
or the father is o+ or both of them are.
My husband is o+ and I am o+, so our baby
is o+. You need to know the mother's
blood type. Ab is a rare blood type.
So if she has a popular blood type (like
o+) then the baby will have an 80% chance
of being o+. My dad is ab- and my mom is
o+. They had three children, all o+.
You have to know what the mother's blood
type is. Normally the baby will have the
mother's blood type anyway.

i forgot to tell you. A person with any
type of blood, whether it be o, ab, a, or
b will always be that type. An o+ person
will always be o+, an ab will always be
ab. So there is no way an ab can have an
o+ baby unless the mother is o+. One of
the parents has to be o+ for the baby to
be o+.

I would say a paternity test is going to
tell you better who the father is than
trying to guess from blood type.
