I would either phone a pharmacy--or call the .Dr back. I dont know if it is safe or not. But I do know if your preg you defineately need to cure the claymidia, so you have to take something--just not sure if zythromax is safe or not. Lets us all know for referance if the med is safe to take---thanks

Yeah I would talk to a doc like fatfamily said..Because when I was pregnant they would only prescribe me medication for babies...Like when I got a cold or sinus ..They would always give me medicine for baby ear infections...So I would def ask a doctor and see what they say ..Because some doctor have different opinions on things...

I had to take antibiotics to clear up a bladder infection...But I am not sure what antobiotic it was, but it was prescribed by my ob so I know it was safe...I would call your doctor/ob and ask (unless they prescribed and are aware that you are pregnant...And you could always call just to make sure that they are aware (if its your family doctor)).

Yes, she means you.

If the doc prescribed it and is aware that you are pregnant it should be safe. If you are worried, double check. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Here's a link that shows some of the meds that are safe and unsafe during pregnancy....

If the dr knew u were pregnant and gave u those meds take them, if he didnt then I would call back and give him the fyi.....Sometimes some meds arent safe but the majority are during certian trimesters so take it its more dangerous for the baby if u have chylmadia higher chance of preterm brith and miscarriage!!

Thanks.
And no she was not aware that I was pregnant. Thats shy I am asking. I was expected to get my period on the 10 of febuary. I went to the doc for a papsmear on the 9th. Then on the 10th they called me and asked to come in cause I had un normal results. They told me I had clamidya and gave me antibiotics to cure it. But since that day I did not get my period (i have very regular periods the same date every month) and I had been trying to conceive I thought I could take a day or two to take a pregnancy test. Came out positive and then went to lab to get a pregnancy test there (urine and blood) and came out positive too. Not where my ob is I went to the one that could test me asap. My ob does not have any room for appts until march and mine is march 9. Thats why I didnt know to take the anibiotic or not.

I would hold off. I have had to take antibotics twice now, once after I had my tooth pulled and once when I had a chest infection. I have severe asthma. I would talk to your doctor first prior to taking anything.

yes, you said "if I am pregnant" and I also felt you had not told your dr you thought you might be. Which you didnt! Right? That is why I say call the .Dr back or the pharmacist--he will know.

Good luck --i hope you are indeed pregnant.
