I Wish I Knew How...(same As In Preg. Forum)

To rupture my own membranes...Cause i'd do
it!!! Silly baby is .N.E.V.E.R going to
come out!! I've been trying to be really
active (today I went for 2 walks/runs in
the snow with my dog and mom), played with
my nipples, taken hot baths, eaten spicey
foods, eaten pineapple...Gah! I am so of
waiting ahaha...I am the most impatient
person and I know after like a week (or
less) I will be like "why didn't I enjoy
my last weeks??" haha but I just want to
see her already! And i'm so frusterated
with being dilated for almost a month, and
nothing! Plus my hips and pelvic bone is
sooo sore, it's retarded to walk or move
(which is now even worse after my long
walk/run today haha).
And my stupid doctor wont even check me
each visit because she doesn't see the
point and she thinks it will increase
infection risk. Grrr makes me mad, I
.W.A.N.T to be checked!
Anyways thanks for listening to my rant
haha.

Heres another idea - got any really close
friends? Lol my midwife told me to sit on
a yoga ball and roll my hips to drop the
baby lower and the lower they are the
closer they are to coming out.

All i'm going to say is I know how you
feel.
I've tried it all too, just remember the
babies can't stay in there forever and
will eventually come out.

They wont let ya go past 42 weeks.
And if your dilated to a 3 they can induce
you, that's how it is where i'm from
anyways.
My due date is february 22nd and i'm being
induced on march 8th.

I'm 38 weeks today...I haven't talked to
my doctor about being induced...But I may
at my next visit. I was so sure she was
going to early but I am not so sure now.
I know though that they wont let you go
past 42 weeks...So that's why I am sure in
a month she'll be here...Lol. Still it
feels like that will be .F.O.R.E.V.E.R
away! Lol

There's methods your doctor can use, like
stripping your membranes, it usually works
if they do it right.
It hurts like hell though, it takes them a
while to do it so it's like a continious
pain.

Isn't stripping the membranes just like
them manually removing the mucus plug?

No, you usually loose your mucus plug
after they do it, but only because the doc
has to stick their finger through the
cervix to strip your membranes, you have
to be at least 1cm dilated.
Sweeping of the membranes, also named
stripping of the membranes, is a
relatively simple technique usually
performed without admission to hospital.
During vaginal examination, the
clinician's finger is introduced into the
cervical os. Then, the inferior pole of
the membranes is detached from the lower
uterine segment by a circular movement of
the examining finger. This intervention
has the potential to initiate labour by
increasing local production of
prostaglandins and, thus, reduce pregnancy
duration or pre-empt formal induction of
labour with either oxytocin,
prostaglandins or amniotomy. This is one
of a series of reviews of methods of
cervical ripening and labour induction
using standardised methodology.

Oh okay because I lost my mucus plug about
a week ago. I don't know if my doctor
would be willing to do that, because she
wont even check me, because she thinks its
going to increase the risk of giving the
baby an infection (i really don't like
her, but it's too late to switch doctors
now). But I will talk to her about it at
my next appointment (tuesday).

Castor oil is called a wives tail for a
reason.
Drink that stuff and you'll never want to
sh*t again.
