I just started yasmin on feb 2( the first day of my period, it was a thrusday) I have been spotting for at least two weeks straight. But I don't believe I have gotten my period yet. I am concerned because I went to take my pill today and saw that I am on my placebos(today was the first day of placebos) since they don't really do anything, am I still protected from pregnancy while taking them? I usually get my period on the first week of the month and its only the 23rd

Yes you are protected from pregnancy during the placebo week, and after that week is done continue with your pills as usual.

It is normal to have spotting and irregularities when you first start taking the pill.

Thanks for your reply. So even if I still have a couple pills left when my period is over( it kinda looks like I might have gotten it today) I still finish off the pack, correct?

Yep, always try to finish off the packs the way you should, that way you stay on schedule.
