Hey, i'm an occassional pot smoker, like once every month or 2, have been for about a year or 2. About a month ago, several days, maybe a week after smoking, I started to basically 'trip out'. By this I mean I had trouble concentrating, kind of like being high without the euphoria, only the weirdness of thoughts paranoia.

Today, I suddently had the same thing come upon me, and i'm afraid I might have schitz. Or something else. I'm hoping this goes away like it did last time, but i'm definately staying off the pot from now on. Also, the last few nights i've had a small nightcap b4 bed, that wouldn't have anything to do with the strange state of mind i'm in now?

Please respond urgently i'm panicy. Thanks

Hello, I experienced something similar, and still kinda do.
First off, don't accept this as the "new you", don't accept it ruining your life.
Fight it with all you got, try medidation, diverse your mind from it...
Think like this: everytime you think about it, you feed it, you gotta starve it, so pay it no attention what so ever, just forget it.
I know this seems impossible, I was in the dp/dr state constantly for 2months in a row, then I started diversing and it helped, a lot.
So basically me being in this forum is like asking for it, so i'll leave now cause I feel it slightly coming back... So just diverse it.
If you have panic attacks, when they come, fight it with all your powers, learn that your the one controlling it, then the next time you feel f'ed-up, start counting backwards from 100 - 0, or do math in your thoughts, just to keep your thinking busy.
Don't let it crush you =]

Hey there

pot is a drug like any other and with it come different side effects for different folks, I would talk to your doc about it, I know admitting to the doc that you are an occasional pot smoker would be a little embarrassing but those are not normal symptoms from pot. I think staying off it might be a better thing for you and amiskitzo made a few really good suggestions

take care
