Depo hormonal contraception (depo shot) is a very efficient contraceptive method. The risk of pregnancy while using the depo shot is very small (1 woman of 100 women that use depo-shot will get pregnant during the period of one year). One shot is effective for a period of 3-6 months, depending upon the dose.
