A gynecologist will need to know the following in order to help you further: When was your last menstruation? How many days your cycle usually last? When do you expect your next menstruation to come? Results from pregnancy tests are valid if the test is taken not more than 5 days before an expected menstruation. Test-results after missed menstruations are valid. You can take a pregnancy test if your period is late.
