Q: birth control make you boobs hurt so bad

Maybe im just stupid but why does birth control make you boobs hurt so bad? Are they swallen? Does it mean they are growing? Im trying to look it up online but I cannot find a distint answer. Im just wondering if anyone has a clue can ya let me know? They are killing me!
