Q: Quick Question!

When I first started on the pill, my doctor told me that there are some drugs and medicines that can make it not as effective. At that point, I wasn't thinking to ask him, but I am on the release diet. Can that affect the effectiveness of the pill? If someone has any answers, I would greatly appreciate them.

Thanks
adrian

Anti biotics, saint johns wort, and some anti seizure meds will decrease the effectiveness of the pill. Long term diahhreah, vommitung will also do the same.

So I am ok to continue with my diet pills? Should I ask my doctor just in case?

Your doctor will most likely say what any other doc will say, all diet pills are not good. Only health exercise and eating right will do it..He'll probably advise you to stop using them..But they would not hamper your birth control unless it contained saint johns wort.
