Release Diet Affecting Birth Control?

Thanks for your replies on my last post. I did end up starting my period this morning...Thank goodness because my boyfriend and I are definitely not ready for a baby right now.

Anyways, is this the place where I can just ask a general birth control pill question? It really doesn't have to do anything with being pregnant or not. I hope someone here can help me with an answer. It's kind of a stupid question...


When I first started on the pill, my doctor told me that there are some drugs and medicines that can make it not as effective. At that point, I wasn't thinking to ask him, but I am on the release diet. Can that affect the effectiveness of the pill? If someone has any answers, I would greatly appreciate them.
