Q: What is this Hard, Bubble-Like Lump Around my Anus? Hemorrh
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 22nd, 2006
Okay about a week ago I have found this hard bubbley like lump on the outside of my anus...I have a pap smear comming up soon, but im scared to go because I dunno what this is. Its been very uncomfortable burning and itching especially when I go to the bathroom. I talked to my mom about it and she said that its probably just an irratation or a hemroid. Can you please tell me what it is...Im a hyprocondriac so I automatically think something serious is wrong with me!! Help!

The “bubble like lumps” outside the anus are possibly caused by hemorrhoids. Inflamed hemorrhoids include symptoms like burning and itching. A less likely possibility is that the bumps could be viral warts (condiloma). You can go to your gynecologist for a Pap-smear and be sure to voice your concerns about this problem and start to seek diagnostic help.
