I am a 52 year old male who played a lot of baseball in my 20's and 30's and am now paying for throwing my body around with reckless abandon when I played. I like to golf, but have a problem with lower back pain and my chiropractor (who is also a golfing buddy) looked at my x-rays and said i've got osteoarthritis in my lower back. It is very painful and after a day of work, etc. I am in a lot of pain which makes me hobble around. I am allergic to sulfa so I can't take celebrex and suffer from gerd so I can't take any nsaids. Is there anything else to take that will help with the pain? I'm doing some stretching and abdomen strengthening exercises, but it isn't helping much with the pain. Any suggestions or help to aid me in living a more normal life would be greatly appreciated. I am depressed and miserable most of the time and am looking for help to live a more normal life.
