Hi, I am 18 years old soon to be 19 and
have had bulimia close to 8 months now,
first 2 months or so it wasn't heavy but
last 6 months I went up as much as 3-4
times a week. I am now clean and no
longer binge/purge but... I was wondering
what kind of risk I have put myself in
for. I understand 8 months is no short
picnic but it's not as long as some of
these ladies have suffered through - some
many years. If I stick to being healthy
now -- would I have "erased" all the
symptoms of having bulimia so it won't
show up in the future? How far have I
damaged my body? And how long does it
take to recover - physically? Thank you.

Hey. I think the main prob with bulimia
is the mental affects. The physical...
You would have been depriving yourself of
vitamins and minerals. 8 months is long
enough. I have had it for just about a
year now. And it feels like forever.
Physical isnt too major. Well, not in
comparison to the emotional side effects.
Whats made you want to be healthy and stop
binge purging?
Good work! Xx

I suppose from day 1 i've always wanted to
stop, besides i'm a major in nutritional
sciences... My worst fear is that i'm
afraid the reason i'm so involved with
nutritional field is because of my own
problems... What if I cure myself and
find myself no longer interested? How do
I know? >_< so confused!
