Q: a Few Questions?

Okay so. I had protected sex with my long-term boyfriend about 37 days ago. And about 7 days after we had sex, I got a regular period. It was about 6.5 days long. It has now been 37 days since I had sex, and about 28 days since my last period. I should experience a regular period in the next day or two. It usually fluxuates. I'm just wondering if theres a chance I could be pregnant? I am experiencing tender breasts, they don't seem swollen, and my aerolas seem normal. Although lastnite, and this morning I did have to go to the bathroom more than usual, but its slowed down during the day. Could these just be symptoms of my period being on its way?
Thanks for your time :)

Tender boobies is a good sign of pregnancy, but the peeing part is all in your head.

You pee a lot much later in pregnancy, from the baby pushing up against your bladder. In my case, 8 or 9 months.

Wait a couple days & test.

Okay, well couldn't the tender breasts be symptom due to the fact that I should be getting my period in a day or 2?

Depends.

Do you normally have tender boobs when you're about to start your period?

When I got tender boobs I knew something was up, it's not normal for me to have tender boobs because of my period, I got a test and it was a faint positive. Took another one 2 days later and it was clear what was up..

I see. Yes, right before my period I usually get tender breasts. Nothing too too sore. Just tender. And right now they're definately just tender. I also just noticed they were slightly tender today, and I usually get my period around the 20th-204th of every month. It fluxuates.

Increased peeing in the beginning is a sign of pregnancy because your uterus sits right on top of your bladder and as it swells in the beginning to prepare for baby it puits pressure on your bladder. During your pregnancy you should have increased peeing twice once in the first trimester as early as 2-3 weeks pregnant and at the end like the last 4 weeks or so.

Increased urination is one of the first signs of pregnancy because the swelling of the uterus presse on it.
As the pregnancy progresses the uterus lifts and the urination is likely to ease off until the 3rd trimester when the uterus is now so big that it constantly presses on the bladder.

However this could likely be a sign your period is on it's way the endometrial tissue in the uterus will have cause a slight swelling of the uterus and this will in turn put a little pressure on the bladder.

Tender boobs is another symptom of either pregnancy or impending period because both pregnancy and periods are controlled by the *same* hormones.

Given that you had protected sex and that you have already had a normal period approx 7 days after that episode - it would be fair to say that you were likely to have passed your fertile window by the time you had sex and also it is reasonably fair to say that you are unlikely (although not impossible) to be pregnant.

Another thing is that if pregnancy causes such worry that over a month after the fact you are still worring, i'd suggest either taking the relationship back a stage (if he loves you he will respect and wait) or seeing a family planning clinic about other options of birth control.

On average (no not everyone is average but for arguments sake)
on average a girl has a period every 28 days approx.
Ovulation happens approx 14 days *before* your period (not after)
sperm can live upto 5 days inside you
and egg is only viable for approx 36 hours after it's release fromt he ovary.
The first day of your period is counted as day 1
so for an average girl days 9-16 are the fertile days

*note this method should not be used as birth control unless pregnancy is not a problem because it is not always possible to tell exactly when you ovulated*

for example if you have 36 days between periods then ovulation is likely to be around day24 so your fertile window would be days 19 -26

Okay thanks so much.
And that sounds about right because I do usually get my period
around the 20th-24th of each month.
So it should be creeping around here soon.

Re
I've never had to pee much but before I even found out I was pregnant I noticed the veins in my boobs were really dark looking I even asked my mom about it cause it freaked me out. Lol neither one of us was thinking pregnancy. But my boobs were real sore especailly in the morning. If I even rolled over in bed they'd hurt. They dont hurt so much no more.

O and as for peeing I pee like every 10 min right now and since its hard for me to sleep once I do fall asleep I wake up feeling like if I dont go right now im not gunna make (so far I havent not gotten there) but is so painful to get out of bed cuz my body is just so sore. The only good thing about peeing is evertime I go I have a contraction so hopefully my cervix is ripening (i really hate that phrase its like im a peice of fruit)
