I'm 17 and since about september 2005 I have been suffering with stomach problems. I have a sharp stabbing pain in the top right of my abdomen which gets worse when I eat. Also when I eat I get swelling and purple lines on my stomach which go away when I am sick. I went to the doctors and she told me to cut out all fat and referred me to a surgeon because she thought it was to do with my gallbladder. I have since then had a ultrasound which came back normal, blood tests, hida scan - which the doctor has told me has come back normal. I am now going to be referred to a gastroenterologist , but it is getting much worse. I'm now hardly eating anything - bcos as soon as do I am sick, have blood in my stools. I have lost nearly 3 stone in 5 months - and I have had to leave school because I cant travel in a car because it hurts so much. What should I do - i'm really scared and I need to know whats wrong with me.
Could this still be to do with my gallbladder even though the hida scan is normal??
