Does anyone know how to tell the
difference between lupus pain and
fibromyalgia pain?? My Dr. Asked what
lupus symptoms I was having.
How can I tell the difference?? I am
exausted, I hurt everywhere, brain fog,
fevers, constant infections of one type or
another, swollen joints....
I have been diagnosed with both fibro
and (i am told) mild lupus. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hi there! I understand your pain, I too
have fibro and other medical problems. I
am no Dr. But it does sound like it is
leaning more towards fibromyalgia but
their are some lupus signs in their
also.
The very best to you!

It is so hard sometimes to tell the
difference especially between fibro and
lupus, I also was diagnosed with fibro
first and then lupus after and sometimes
even today I wonder if a new pain is just
the fibro or lupus or none of them. There
is a main difference between fibro and
lupus fibro wont eat away at your tissue
and organs it will have no effect on your
skin, tissue, or organs so if you are
having that then it's lupus not fibro.
You wont have a low immune system with
fibro(although some have said they do) but
the best thing is to be checked by your
doc for lupus do an ana test and if that
positive and you have the lupus symptoms
then it's probably lupus.
Also with fibro I don't think you get
fevers either.
