Hi there. I have continual scalp pain with my tmj. I have constant pressure and pain right above my temples on each side and my scalp is really sore to the touch. I'm not sure if that is exactly what you are talking about but wanted to let you know you are not alone.

Please tell me what type splint you have and any other tips that
might help me with this.

Hi there. I have an upper orthodic. I tried the tension suppression ones thinking it would be the answer to my prayers and I bit through it and cracked it in half within 7 months. The dentist was shocked and had never seen that so we went back to the upper one which is the only other kind I have ever had. This one is starting to get some lines in it and is looking like it's going to start cracking but i've had it for quite awhile. That being said, although I am worse if I don't wear my splint, it doesn't give me much relief and nothing seems to help with my pain. I finally called my Dr. Office today and am going to try going to a pain managment clinic, as I don't know what else to do (i posted my story last night - I have had 3 surgeries and will have at least one more). I'm sorry I am not able to help. If I get any tips from the pain managemetn clinic I will be sure to post. Take care.
