General Q&A Answer A502
A gynecological examination can help identify possible causes/reasons for painful sexual intercourse (dyspareunia). For example, a low (descendent) uterus is one possible cause of dyspareunia. This type of uterus is vulnerable to infections and creates pain during sexual intercourse. You can proceed immediately to your gynecologist for an examination.
