Hi all :)
my story and facts
back in 1998 I went to an escort. She was young. Anyway, I was too nervous to do anything with her though she kissed me and I believe my penis had contact with her vagina when the condom slipped off at the end. It was a horrible ordeal and now for all these years I have been with no one.

Around 6 weeks after seeing her. I developed srs systems - chills, fever, mild nausea, stiffness in the muscles, running nose and they went maybe after two weeks as mysteriously as they appeared. I never had a hiv or any test, as I felt my normal healthly self. It was in march 2000 that I had my first urine tract infection (which like all the rest didnt show up anything). I've had them rather regulary at least once a month since then.

It was august 2005 after a particulary bad uti, I read about hiv and utis so it was then I was tested for hiv and the other std. It was a p24 test and I got a non-reactive result. I felt fine for month till had another uti. It was november that I noticed my tongue had red spots on it and my upper lip had tiny little white spots. The red spots left but the tiny white spots are still there. As well i've had a dry throat and a feeling of indigestion.

In febuary I had my 2nd hiv test, the result was negative. The escort place I went to is now closed which makes it worse for me. I know the place that sent me to it. The doctor of mine has give me medication for anxiety - luvox, however I wont take that - should read about it online scrary stuff.

I just wonder if the hiv virus is dorment in me and it is not showing.

Anyway, I hope my symtons help ppl here who are in stress waiting results, and have the same syntoms as me.

Take care
sammy

Hiv Stress
Hiv doesn't lie dorment. You had a non risk situation and you've tested negative. You have nothing else in relation to hiv to be concerned about.

Hiv
If it happened in 1998, and you tested negative this year, you most certainly did not become infected with hiv in this episode.
Hiv remains somewhat inactive during the long-term asymptomatic stage, but it ia not undetectable at this time.

Stress And Anxiety
I think the major problem with you is that you think of it too much. Just get relaxed and relieved. Your possible exposure was way back in 1998, which is about 7 years before. Though I do not know your sexual history after this very incident, one could confirm that if you are infected, it could not be due to this incident. Its too long for symptoms to occur.

However, since you have been tested and was non reactive, there is nothing to worry about. Maybe the symptoms in your tongue and lips could be a local bacterial infection which could be diagonised and treated easily. Try eating a good amount of yogurt which could increase the level of flora (good bacteria) of your tongue and could help to cure many such infections.

Just leave of the worry and concentrate in something else. If you are panic, you can get it worse.

kiklis2k thanks. I've been in no relationships since the event in 1998. I do think I worry too much but I cant help it sometimes. Last winter my whole family got sick but I had a score throat and that but it went. Since that first test I havent been right :p probably stree and anxiety for sure. I'll try the yogurt and the tongue thing has gone now, just the lip and that dry burning feeling in my throat which might be stress or reflux maybe  ...Sure hope that nasty virus isnt hiding and that, I really doubt that

Nope
The virus is not hiding in any intentional sense. That isn't how it works. You tested negative in a test where your immune system's hiv-specific antibodies are detected. The test, especially after three months, is medically conclusive. You. Are. Hiv. Negative.

If you want further reassurance, please visit aidsmeds.Com, and post your concerns in the fears forum. Within minutes, one of the experts will reiterate what you've been told here.

thanks finess I might go to that forum also to get more reassurance. I wake some mornings with a stuffy nose and start to wonder this isnt me. I guess I am just getting older. Thanks again.

Sam
p.S edit - I just realised i've already had a post on that forum and got the same reassurance. I'll have to let it go. I think my post will help others who might've been to an escort or had low to high risk encounters.
