Q: Was Told That Im Having a Miscarriage

:( hello, I went to my doctor on my first visit and they told me that my due date was wrong cause the baby was too small but the heartbeat was about 105 to come back for another ultasound in two weeks. I went back on tuesday and found out that my baby had no heartbeat and has not growning since my first visit.They went to take some test to check the hcg level.Cause it look like I was going to have a miscarriage.I went for the blood test on tuesday and another one today now they tell me that i'm having a miscarriage even through i'm not showing any signs of bleeding or camping.The hcg was very low and they want to do a d&c.I dont know what to think as this is my six pregnancy.I never had a miscarriage before.Both me and my husband are scared and worried and under how did this happern.We dont know what to think.Should I go ahead with the d&c or get a second opinion?

Well... I doubt a doctor would lie to you about something like this. Were you watching when the ultrasound was performed? Did you see the heartbeat? I'm so sorry. I have been in your shoes, although I was already having symptoms when I went in for my u/s and hcg level tests. You could always go back and have your hcg levels tested again to be sure. How long did they search for a heartbeat? Depending on how far along you are it can be difficult to detect. However, if your levels have not changed or have dropped, miscarriage is imminent. If you had a viable pregnancy they should rise at a rapid rate. Again, i'm sorry and good luck.

Yes I was watching and no they couldnt see the heartbeat moving all they saw was this very small baby.They couldnt even tell me how far along I was cause of how small it was.They found it on the first visit with out any problems. I was in u/s for over 30 mins.All I know is my hcg is very low and I am having a miscarriage.When I dont know for now I have no signs.
She told me I could wait till I start having signs or go ahead with the d&c.
