Hi, im just wondering if a dosage of clavamox is appropriate for a viral infection, considering, that clavamox is more often prescribed for staphylcoccus aures infections.

Cold, Flu and Viral Infections Answer A494
Clavamox is an antibiotic containing amoxicillin and clavulanic acid (beta-laktamasa inhibitor). It is a powerful antibiotic that acts on many Gram and Gram- bacteria. Antibiotics, including Clavmox, don’t act on viruses. It is totally useless and even potentially harmful to take antibiotics for viral infections. Antibiotics can be given only if the viral infection is complicated by a secondary bacterial infection. There aren’t many efficient anti-viral medicines. However, there do exist vaccines to help prevent some of the most dangerous viral infections. The most common viral infections can be easily overcome by the a person's own immune system.
