I have recently quit using chewing tobacco. Last time I quit for a year and suffered heartburn and canker sores for the entire year, when I started up again the symptoms went away, now that I have quit again they are back. I do not believe that it is stress related. I believe that the heart burn and canker sores and generally acid feeling are the result of a chemical/? Change in my system that the tobacco took care of. Any ideas? Could I eat something that would give my system back what the tobacco did minus the nicotine? Thank you
