After stopping birth control, how long did it take for you ladies to have a period? I stopped bc 1 month ago, and missed my expected period this month. I had cramps one day but nothing to get excited about. I'm sure my body is just adjusting, but how many periods should I expect to miss? Not that i'm complaining too much, cuz they aren't that enjoyable to begin with. Hee hee.

Did you stop at the end of ur pack or in the middle? It usually takes your body a couple months to regulate itself after stoping b/c.

Thanks, I stopped at the end of a pack. Atleast I don't have to worry I guess. :) I hate not knowing when i'm going to start my period though...

Yeah...I had been on bc years ago. When I stopped taking them...It was almost 2 months before my af started up again...And I had it for like 10 days!! If you're overly concerned...Speak w/ your doc. But...It's normal for your cycle to take a while to get back on track.

Hope this helps. Best of luck to you!

It took my cycle 2 months to become reg but then it went wacko, I stopped about 7 to 8 months ago. Everyone is going to be different.. Hopefully you don't take long to get in a pattern. Good luck

Hi chrissy-
have you had unprotected sex since you have been off bc pills? If so, you could be pregnant. I stopped taking my pills and within that first month I got pregnant. So of course, I missed my first cycle after stopping the pills too! Lol

Yes...I did have sex...3 days after I stopped the pill (which I was ovulating at that time) and once last week when I was supposed to be on my period, but it didn't come yet so we went ahead and had our fun. Hee hee I figured that I probably wouldn't get pregnant 3 days after (how long does bc stay in your system.) anyways, i'll just wait to see what happens. I've been feeling very gasy these past few days, and my back is sore, but nothing else. I'll just make sure to be extremely healthy, for atlease another month or so. If I don't get a period by then, i'll go to the doctor. I took 2 hpt's and both were neg. I don't feel like going to the doctor one more time, for him to do a blood test and find out i'm not pregnant. It's too stressful and really lets a girl down.

I forgot to mention...That i'm extremely tired all the time...I even stayed home from work on monday because I couldn't concentrate getting ready in the morning and didn't trust myself to even drive that tired. I've been coming home everynite and going to bed early...My hubby thinks that i'm getting to be an "old lady" says that's what old people do. Hee hee. I should probably put this in another forum, but you ladies are very helpful, and usually all post in the other forums any how. I figured all this tiredness has to do with stopping the pill too.

What can I do to wake my butt up? I've tried extra sleep, cold/hot showers, caffeine, etc. Nothing will work. If you girls have any ideas, please, let me know. I'm falling asleep at my desk at work sometimes! It's embarrassing!

Well they say u have to take your pills same time everyday for it to b effective and its possible to get pregnant from missing one so im sure it would be possible 3 days later as for waking up I dunno but take it easy on the caffiene just in case
