I'm 11 weeks and 5 days. My husband and I
had sex almost every night before we found
out I was pregnant. Since we found out we
have only been together twice. He claims
he dosen't want to hurt the baby or me.
This is our first child. What can I do to
change his mind?
Thanks amber

Find on the internet a site where is
confirms that sex is ok for you and
baby...Or have him go to the Dr. With you
so the Dr. Can confirm it!! Then he has
no excuses!!!!
Lol....He's prob. Just really paranoid
and doesn't want anything to happen...Then
for it to be because he wanted sex to
boot!! Lol....
Good luck!

Yep, I agree. Let him read what you find
on the net and if he doesn't listen let
your Dr. Tell him that it's ok.

As the other girls said assure him its ok
and wont hurt the baby but he may be
thinking of you as a mother figure now as
well and feel uncomfortable having sex
knowing his baby is in there. Theres a
topic in the third trimester section about
men not liking the belly, that is probably
worth a read too.

Sex during pregnancy is perfectly healthy.
He cannot hurt the baby!! Unless he's
superman and can penetrate your cervix.
=)
i agree with sarah, he's probably just a
little weirded out by the fact that you're
a mommy now. A lot of guys go through
that and don't really know how to handle
what they're feeling/thinking. Just talk
to him about it.

I can't remember the show, but I saw on
one tv show (or movie?) once where this
woman was having a hard time convincing
her husband that it was ok to have sex
while she was pregnant. The analogy she
used was something along the lines of:
think of one of those houses with a garage
attached that just has a door linking the
two. The baby is inside the house. You
are parking your car in the garage. No
matter how big and how impressive you
might think your car is, you will never be
able to get it through that little door
and into the house.
Lol I thought it was funny, at least.

Amber, It's Ok

Amber,
having sex during the first trimester is
ok. It's normal. Your husband won't hurt
the baby or you.... Infact sex is
encouraged. Though mostly during your
last trimester. But he won't hurt the
baby, as it is protected by your womb and
all that. If you are worried, ask your
doctor. Also go and buy this book: what
to expect when your expecting. It is
wonderful. It has answered all of my
questions, since I am pregnant with my
first child as well.
