I have had this strange sleep disorder for years and I don't know what's wrong. This is what happens on occasion. I will fall asleep. Exactly and hour later I start to wake up. At this point I know that I am up, cuz I see my bedroom, but still not fully awake. All of a sudden, I start to hallucinate. I always see spiders or other bugs all over the wall. I will see this for at least 5-10 seconds when I am fully awake cuz I scream like hell. My husband is freaked out by this. I will go to the extent and turn on the lights and look for the "spider" on the wall. On one occasion, I woke up and saw my dead grandfather's face over mine. How scary is that. Is it possible that my subconscious mind is not "turning off" when I wake up??? But why? Any input would be greatly valued. I am not schizophrenic. I have no psychological disorders. I do not drink alcohol and never did drugs. I also used to have psychic dreams. I don't know if this has anything to do with it.
Thank you for reading this bizarre paragraph.
