Jess...

I think it would be wise to go see a doc asap because a lot can happen during early pregnancy, which is critical!

If u are waiting for ur insurance, then maybe u should check how much u have to pay without insurance for at least one visit to the doc and decide if u wanna go ahead and go without insurance and pay by urself or ur bf.

I am concerned that if u have bad morning sickness, the baby might not be getting enough nutritions. So u should go see a doc pretty soon.

Good luck

I've heard that doctors are most important in the beginning stages of pregnancy. I think it'd be smart to see a doctor pretty darn quick!

Hi, good-luck with your pregnancy! Usually if there are no adverse signs, ie bleeding. Bad cramping or other, a first appt. Is set at the 8 week mark, to do blood work and discuss options and family history ect. Due to your age they might want you to come in sooner, though you say you are 8 weeks now so I would make an appt. Soon. There are alot of options for you besides insur. Alot of orginaztions that will give you prenatel care free of charge, and community hospitals will help anyone in need. The health of your baby is the most important thing, so even if you wait a little while longer, make sure you are eating healthy, taking some sort of vitamin, (prenatel type) ( you can find these without a prescription at any pharemacy). And stop taking any medications or drugs that are not prescribed by your doctor, including alchohol. If you are taking antidepressants or anxiety medication, do not quit cold turkey untill you talk with your doctor, as the side effects could be worse for you than the prescription itself. Stay well and treat your body kindly, remimber there is a little angel in there counting on you!

Well I have been pregnant twice and both times when I called the doctor they schedule you for an apoinment at 11 weeks old, which is when they will do an ultrasound. You do need to call though to get on prenatal vitamins if your not already. But don't worry about how you havent seen one yet because they will have you come in when you are 11 weeks pregnant. I've checked with many doctors on this, and apparatly this how they do it now. But when you do call have a pharmacy phone number ready to where they can call in a prescription for you.
