Getting Pregnant Answer A475
The earliest date to confirm a pregnancy is 5 days before an expected period. The most convenient method to confirm a possible pregnancy is to take a home pregnancy test. If you don’t conceive after 1 year of regular sexual intercourse, you can ask for medical help. First, your partner can test his sperm count; a urologist can perform a spermogram. If his sperm count is normal/OK, then you have to be examined for reproductive health: hormone status, ultrasound, HSG, STD-serology etc. The only “natural” way to become pregnant is to have more frequent sexual intercourse during fertile days of your cycle (2 days before and after ovulation are considered the most fertile days). Ovulation occurs 14 days before an expected period.
