Q: Looking Sideways Closes my Eyes...What Can I DO?

i lost a lot of weight 4 years ago blood tests showed it was my thyroid i have been on thyroxine 100mg since then i have suffered with my eyes when i blink my left eye wants to stay shut there is pressure over my left eye sunlight effects my eyes i cant even look in a mirror as my eyes close tightly shut iam using lacri lube for dry eyes but doesnt help if i tryto look side ways my eyes shut can you help this is very distressing thank you

You can visit an ophthalmologist, first, to check your sight, eye pressure and to examine the bottom regions of the eye. You may need to be examined by a neurologist, too. The thyroid gland has nothing to do with eye disorders.
