Q: Yasmin to Nuva Ring

I just recently switched from yasmin to the ring. I finished my last active pill on the 4th, and started my period on the 7th. This past friday (the 10th) inserted the ring which stopped my period, then I had sex that night and the next night. Do I need to get emergency contraception or does the ring work right away since I was on the pill before? The last day of my placebos would have been saturday.
