Confused!
Posted: 02-13-06 14:53pm

Hello-
i have a confusing situation that I hope someone can shed some light on.

First I will explain:
i am usually a pretty normal period girl. I am not on birth control, nor do I need to be- my boyfriend and I are not sexually active.

Anyways- I started a new quarter at school last month( january) and started a new job in which I wake up real early... I am ona totally different schedule and my period last month was one week late exactly. However, ti was a normal period.

Now this month, around the time that I used to be getting my period ( my regular time before last month) I had a light brown discharge for about 3 days and then it stopped for one day, and then a jelly like discharge followed for 1 day. And now, almost a week or 2 late for my period, I am beginning to feel period symptoms- weight gain, tender breasts, face is breaking out, and that's about all the symptoms I get.

I am just wondering if anyone could make any sense of this .... I am a girl that worries about being pregnant even without having sex- I am just a weirdo like that. If someone could write me back and let me know what they think that would ease my mind al ittle bit. Thanks alot

Swear to god-
the extent of my boyfriend and i's sexuality is dry humping. And even at that, I or both of us alwyas has underwear on. He never cums-- sorry for the graphic info. I am being completely honest with you, and that is why I am wondering what is going on with me. My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and for the first year of so of our relationship we did have sex, but I had a preg. Scare and ever since then, the stress of doing it is not even worth it.

The only medicine that I am on is minocycline for my acne and a tazorac cream that I wear at night.

With the face breakout and weight gain, that could be stress. Stress always deals with this dept. With the tendre breasts, your period is never consistant, for example, some months are light or heavy, some months are short or longer in duration of time. With the jelly light clots. Clotting is somewhat normal to an extent. Yet if your clots are heavier, bigger or last longer in duration of time, it is wisest to consult a physcian, since you are not having sex its hard to determine what it can truly be.

So is it likely that the time that I had the brown spotting for three days, very light as it was, could that have been my period for this month?

Hey since how long are you taking minocycline.
I too had minocycline for acne when I was 16.
I had to discontinue it after a week or so coz of severe nausea and I had vaginal infection.Doc changed presciption to some other antibiotic.
I did not have weight gain or tender breast. So there is a chance that it is something else but thought I should let you know .
Its better to inform doc.
