Hey there.Recently I started to reduce my dose of 300mg phenytoin per day (on the advice of my doc).Things were going well for 3 weeks but suddenly things started to go wrong.I never expected it to be plain sailing but what I have experienced over the past 2 weeks has been hell. And I can only put it down to my body having withdrawel symptoms through not receiving the phenytoin.I have been having 2 siezures every other night,i'm walking around with what I can only describe as a constant head rush,i feel i'm gonna fall all the time and I can't be alone.
Has anyone else who has came off phenytoin, suffered anything like this?

Hey Cwe
Hey cwe, thanks alot for your reply. It was a real interesting read. One thing I have learned over the past couple of years.....The doc's/consultants are only useful for mild advice. To be honest,at the moment I feel like a human guinee pig.My consultants wants me to stop this/try that,at first I thought it was all good.Only now iv realised something,my doc is only interested in changing my meds to help him in his career. When I say its not working for me,he's not interested.I have to scream and shout to be listened to.
