My wife is about 7 weeks pregnant. When
the doctor did an ultrasound on the 6
week, a heartbeat was detected using the
abdominal ultrasound method.
When we visited on the 7 week, the doctor
did an vaginal scan but she mention that
the baby is about 9mm and there is growth.
However, no heartbeat is detected.
She advise us not to worry but to visit
her a week later.
I am worry , please advise what you thing
might be happening

It can be difficult to find the hearbeat
so try not to worry. A friend of mine,
who just had her baby this past august,
was never able to hear her baby's
heartbeat....With a doppler or vaginally.
She always had an ultrasound where they
could see the heartbeat fine. Hope that
helps...

I hear some women have a harder time
hearing a heartbeat, especially this early
on. It is usually easier to hear after
about 12weeks for those who can't hear one
early on. Your baby is so tiny right now
he's just floating around and the docs
don't always know where to find him/her.
It becomes easier when he/she is a bit
bigger.
Don't worry about it too much

It is normal for them to not always get
the heartbeat at such an early stage.
Totally normal. Sometimes they dont get
it at all until about 12 weeks. Baby is
so small---im sure everything is
fine---try not to worry.

I agree with everyone...Although its scary
they couldent find my babys hb until 14
weeks. With my son 12 years ago it was
like 12 weeks.
