I've had mesh put over my entire abdomen because I had 6 hernias and my intestines got pinched, i've never been so sick. (2 years ago) my question is what are the odds of it happening again? I've notice a narrowing of my stool.

Hi, im really sorry to hear you are having problems with your hernia again, my husband just had a hernia operation, the doctor told him the same thing that he will be better than ever, and that theres no chance it will come back, I guess it all depends on what type of activities you do , I guess the biggest thing is not to go lifting heavy things, and just watch everything you do, 5 days after the surgery he was feeling great went back to work the second week, I guess in time will see, good luck I hope everything works out for you

I have had four surgeries for hernias. One on the left side and three on the right, the last one was five years ago. Now, I am getting the worst pain yet on my right side. Looks like its time for #5, crap..............

I have had 5 different repairs and the last was for a trip hernia repair. they put mesh from my hip bones to my belybutton and said I was now a high risk patient. I was told that I was not going to have anymore hernia's but here it is 3 years later and I have the same symptoms as before....the pain, narrow stools and major bloating!! I dont want to go back to the doctor but what other choice to I have now??

Here I go again too
Just had my 2nd hernia repair 6 months ago and this is my new ultrasound report.
Suspicion for a ventral hernia. A small loop of bowel may herniate through a defect in the anterior abdominal wall.
Can anyone tell me what the second part means? Does it mean there is the possiblity of the bowel herniating thru or do they see that it is likely to?
Thanks.

3rd Hernia, Here I go again too.
Hi, I have had 2 hernia repairs, the last one just 6 months ago. Now I just got another ultra sound and this is what the report said: Suspicion for a ventral hernia. A small loop of bowel may herniate through a defect in the anterior abdominal wall. What does the second part of this mean? Does it mean the loop of bowel is ready to herniate thru the defect or does it mean it may herniate? I will probably be having a CT scan soon. What causes these to reoccur? I lifted a 12 pack of pop(cans) and I began getting twinges of pain thru-out my abdomen which sent me to the doctor and the reason for the ultrasound.
