That would be a very intense decision to make....

I do not think it is sick at all to put a baby up for adoption. But being forced to put a rapists baby up for adoption (if abortion is illegal) would be very very sick.

Ah ha! I found it. I was saying basically, for people who tell a woman (who has been impregnated by a man who has raped her) that it would be wrong to get an abortion, are sick.. Not the woman herself,even if she chooses to carry through with the pregnancy.

please if i've read this wrong but are you saying that men who rape can be good dads? How can they be good dads when they think it's ok to rape? Any man who thinks that can not bring up children to be loving caring adults are mad!!!! Men who rape have no respect for women full stop!! I actually read something a while ago about this. In a nutshell, it said that any woman that became pregnant as result of a rape, had to put an ad in the paper stating her desire to have an abortion and wait to see if the rapist/father replied within a certain time. If no response, she was "allowed" to abort. incredibly ridiculous. It isn't a law, but it was being considered.

i just get mad when people say that a rapist has rights to tell me if I terminate his baby. When you've been raped the last thing you need is to have to face the b*****d again and ask him if he minds you terminating his child!!!! It's a joke to think they have a right!!!

They don't think of you when they are hurting you at that moment so why should we think about them when we have to face again what they have done to us. It's taken me nearly 2 yrs to be able to go out without being scared I will see him again.

how does he have parental rights? He had no right to be asked if I should terminate or not!!! He took my soul from me the day he raped me!! I would love for him to come to me and tell me I had no right to terminate the child!!! I would terminate him too

The trouble is when people talk about a "rapist" and getting pregnant from rape, they have in mind a stranger in an alley, or a woman being attacked. But a lot of women who are raped, it's by men they are in a relationship with, or even their husbands. That's what happened to a friend of mine when she was a teenager. They started having sex, doing either pull-out or using condoms, and one day he just said he wanted to do it without one, and not pull-out, and he just held her down. She got pregnant. That was rape, even if she didn't go to the police or whatever, but after that she had an abortion and never spoke to him again.

Something like 90% of rapes are done to women (or men) by people they already know. It doesn't make it any less rape, and it doesn't give the man any more rights to the life of that child, just because he happens to be dating the woman he raped. From the sound of your post, you agree with me.

Personally you guys, I have no tolerance whatever for any man who can easily rape a woman...Same goes for molesters and so fourth...Those are sick editand do not have a god damn right to anything as far as I am concerned, much less to father a child....No a rapist does not have any say so to his victims unborn child...The editneed to be put away..Or how about line em all up and give em a taste of their own incredibly medicine? well, despite the fact that I agree with you, it doesn't change the fact that the law is on the books of a few states. Even you stead-fast pro-lifers can agree that a rapist should never have any say in what the woman does with her body and the fetus?

It is disgusting and sickening what people can get away with... That editmakes my heart hurt and my skin crawl....
