I am a nineteen year student and plan to graduate high school in 3 months. I take partime college courses in criminal justice and I would like to go into the forensics field but found out that the requirements are good eyesight in both eye and no eye problems. I was very depressed and felt useless after I found out that I am confined to jobs that are minimum wage like mcdonalds because I have a lazy eye. I like every other victim do not like to take pictures and have face to face contact with people. For christmas I got a video set and it had a pair of 3d glasses, that day I sat in front of the tv and watched the whole set with the glasses but I did not see what the big deal was I did not see the 3 dimension anywhere but my lil sister was jumping up and down watching the movies so I realized I could not focus both eyes on the tv so I cried because a simple thing like 3d is restricted on my ability to see like everyone else. I wore patches when I was like 6 but refused now I regret I every tore off my patch. Am I doomed to spend the rest of my life beyond sunglasses or people stairing at me and snickering. I also play guitar and if that's not bad enough I have girls coming up to me and I have to look down or strain both my eyes to look at them somewhat regular. I really have a passion for forensics and pscyhology but am not able to get past the vision requirements. All my life I was laughed at and made fun of because of my eyes. Am I better off blind?
