Q: Treatment of Lupus Skin Lesions
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 11th, 2006
Wondering if Proactiv acne solution is safe for lupus patients and will it have any positive reaction with the facial rash. I do not have acne but was hoping something would help with the redness and swelling areas. Any ideas?

Lupus has no connection with acne. Proactive acne solution is good for acne-treatment but has no effect on lupus skin-lesions. Lupus skin lesions are treated with unguents that contain corticosteroids. You can ask for expert help from a dermatologist.
