Q: Hypoglycemia Or Jme

I am an 18yo female and my entire life I would have these little episodes (almost always in the morning just after awakening). My whole body would become numb, my head would feel foggy and my vision would fade into blackness. The whole episode would last only 10-20secs and would occur about twice a week.

Within the last couple years I would have convulsions. Once when I was very sick with vomitting every 15mins and not eating anything. Only my legs would jerk uncontrollably and it lasted a couple minutes. A few times within the last year or so, I would experience the numb episodes as I stated before, only it would be accompanied with the uncontrallable jerking of my entire body. It would last around 30-60secs and would happen in the morning shortly after awakening.
(i was fully conscious for all these episodes btw.)

my mother has always told these symptoms would happen because I was low on sugar (but haven't been diagnosed with anything). These episodes are also similar to juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. If anyone has any thoughts our opinions on what this could be, i'd grately appreciate.
Thanks!

It's a possibility, but I need to know if you have any other symptoms. The early morning symptoms make sense for hypoglycemia because that's when your sugar is at the lowest techincally. However, do you notice any other connections to eating? Do you find the symptoms less when you eat certain things or do they go away when you do? You need to answer these issues first. If you notice no connection to eating, it's doubtful, especially if you're not really experiencing any other symptoms. However, at your age, it's possible to only have a few symptoms with worse ones cropping up around age 23 or so. I, for example, was always taking naps and would become uncontrollably tired in the middle of the day and would get these "flu-like" feelings which would last only an hour or so. I always thought I had a strong immune system or something, but turns out those were early signs. Answer my questions and i'll steer you in the right direction.
